The new Load Hog kit uses pneumatic technology to convert pickup trucks into fully functional dump trucks. These kits consist of a compressor, a patented air bag made of ballistic nylon and urethane and a patented hinge and cross-member system. With a total installed weight of around 100 pounds, the Load Hog system can lift up to 4,000 pounds to 45 degrees in less than 35 seconds. When installed, the system is totally maintenance-free, uses no oil, and does not alter the original appearance of the vehicle. Installation takes six to eight hours with ordinary shop tools and requires no welding. Each Load Hog kit is product-specific and units are available to fit truck models from as early as 1969 through present.
