Liebherr Truck-mounted Concrete Pumps

Liebherr Truck-mounted Concrete Pumps

41 M5 XXT truck-mounted concrete pump with patented XXT outriggers The 41 M5 XXT is extremely compact, with a short wheelbase but without excessive distributor-boom overhang, and is equipped with the THP 140H high-performance pump unit. Liebherr’s “narrow” support has a single horizontal telescoping movement at the front, and can be swung to the side, whereupon the telescoping element for the front support is partially concealed in a cutout in the rear support. In the XXT support version the long rear swing-out base is attached to the same pivot point on the boom mounting as the front outrigger base pivot point. This outrigger version is extremely stable and torsionally rigid. The forces exerted by the boom are fed directly into the outrigger supports. High stability and uniform distribution of pipes on the left and right sides of the boom ensure that boom movements are extremely smooth. An electrical system to suppress unwanted boom vibration is not needed. The position of the front outrigger support can be varied so that the machine can be adapted to suit construction-site conditions without any adverse effect on the working range. In the 30 m category: the THP 160H/36 R4 XXH truck-mounted concrete pump In the 30 m category Liebherr is presenting the THP 160H/36 R4 XXH truck-mounted concrete pump. It has an optimised four-section 36-m boom of roll-folding pattern; the final “fly” section of the distributor boom thus has an angular range of 270 degrees. Since their introduction, the narrow XXH outrigger supports have proved extremely successful in practice as versatile equipment for the concrete pump programmes. The XXA stability monitor checks the permissible working range and shuts the boom down automatically if the safe limits are exceeded. The THP 160 H pump unit has a maximum output of 160 m³/h and a maximum concrete pressure of 80 bar. The shape of the two-piece hopper ensures optimal suction performance with little opportunity for residual concrete deposits to form. Waitzinger taken over in October 2012 The Liebherr Group acquired concrete pump manufacturer Waitzinger, which is based in Neu-Ulm, in October 2012. This has rounded off Liebherr’s product programme in the concrete technology area. Waitzinger Baumaschinen GmbH was established in 1991, and is a company specialising in the development and manufacture of truck- and trailer-mounted concrete pumps and units mounted on truck mixers.
