Terex introduces its new compact and manueverable PT-35 compact track loader
The smallest compact track loader in the Terex lineup, with a 4-ft wide profile, the new Terex® PT-35 compact track loader is the right tool for productive work in tight situations where access is limited. Featuring a powerful 3-cylinder, turbocharged Perkins 403F-15T diesel engine, the 36.2-hp PT-35 compact track loader is the newest member of the Terex line of Tier 4-compliant compact construction equipment. Its purpose-built chassis is designed to be a heavy-duty machine within a compact, maneuverable package.
Ideal for landscaping, rental and small construction projects, the PT-35 compact track loader has 83.3 ft-lb of peak torque, a tipping load of 2,100 lb — with a 1,050 lb operating capacity at 50 percent tipping load capacity — and a lift height of 101 in. Distributing the machine’s 3,970-lb operating weight down to 3.3 psi ground pressure, the PT-35 loader easily works on soft or sensitive surfaces with minimal damage or impact. The Terex PT-35 compact track loader is equipped with pilot-operated joystick controls and a comfortable operator station for easy operation.
This model comes standard with 11-in wide general purpose tracks outfitted on the patented Terex Posi-TrackTM undercarriage technology and suspension. All Terex compact track loaders, including the new PT-35 model, utilize a proprietary all-rubber track, rather than a rigid track technology with steel embedded tracks mounted on an existing skid steer chassis. This enables Terex compact track loaders to produce greater efficiencies in operation and speed because of their lighter weight. And by utilizing composite materials rather than a steel skeleton, Terex tracks do not corrode or rust. This set-up gives the PT-35 loader more traction, higher flotation and better operating comfort so operators can make full use of the machine’s higher travel speeds, up to 6.5 mph.
Terex also offers a special turf track for the PT-35 loader. Turf tracks are ideal for landscapers and others working over fragile or improved surfaces. These tracks feature a special smooth tread that allows select Terex compact track machines, including the PT-35, the ability to maneuver on virtually any surface with barely a trace. Scuffing and rutting is practically eliminated, even when used in sharp turns. Terex recommends its turf tracks for applications where the surface needs special protection and the conditions are generally dry.
The Terex PT-35 loader is designed with front-mounted, quick-connect hydraulic fittings and an electronic connector for control of attachments, enabling it to use industry-standard attachments such as augers, backhoes, brush cutters, levelers, pallet forks, box rakes, snow blades and blowers, tillers and trenchers, as well as general-purpose, light-material and multi-purpose buckets. Attachments from Terex for the PT-35 loader are performance-matched to ensure proper fit, balance and operation.
