KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens recently unveiled its new FT2650 track-mounted jaw crusher with pre-screen option, designed to allow producers to make high quality, premium products. Built for mobility, the FT2650 provides a feed opening of 26 inches by 50 inches, and production rates up to 500 tons per hour. The increased stroke of the Vanguard Jaw Crusher provides more compression, more relief, faster throughput and up to 25 percent more capacity, according to KPI-JCI product manager, Ron Griess.
Effective in multiple aggregate or recycling crushing applications, this plant allows producers to benefit from low-cost transportation and set-up between job sites as well as convenient on-site mobility. A patent-pending grizzly pre-screen option employs independent grizzly fingers that vibrate independently, generating higher energy to resist blinding and plugging. Increased open-area also results in increased productivity, and the grizzly modules are easily interchangeable for flexibility, allowing producers to remove a wide array of unwanted fines from production, ensuring higher-quality premium products.
“This new design also employs an optional hydraulic tramp iron relief system, which enables adjusting the closed-side-setting on–the-fly, while providing overload protection from tramp iron events,” Griess said. Multiple feeder sizes, hydraulic-hopper extensions, cross-belt magnet systems and dust-suppression systems are other available options.
