Skyjack Unveils New Telescopic Boom, Kicks Off 30th Anniversary Charitable Campaign at the Rental Show
Linamar Corporation’s Skyjack Division unveiled the SJ86 T telescopic boom and a charitable campaign marking its 30th business anniversary at The Rental Show, hosted annually by the American Rental Association.
“Our customers have asked us for a boom with higher capacity and greater reach. We listened and now we are really excited the machine is available on the market for them to use,” said Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack. The new SJ86 T helps meet increasing customer demand in the rental industry with its higher capacity and greater reach. Two models are available in North America: a telescopic-only model with a platform height of 82 ft and a model with a jib, featuring a platform height of 86 ft.
30 FOR 30
Skyjack is using The Rental Show to kick off its celebration around its 30th business anniversary. As part of the celebration, Skyjack is launching 30 FOR 30 PARTNERS, a charitable campaign where the company is searching for 30 worthwhile projects, spread across the world, that would benefit from the use of a Skyjack machine or, potentially, some other kind of support such as parts supplies or repairs. These machines plus the assistance would be supplied through Skyjack customers, with Skyjack covering the costs of up to $2,500 per project.
“We are grateful that our customers, communities and the industry have supported us consistently, allowing us to get where we are today—one of the world’s leading suppliers of access equipment,” Boehler said. “As such, we want to use the occasion to give something back. And the best way we can think to do this is via the company, the products and, most important, the customers that mean so much to us.”
Full house
In addition to the new telescopic boom, Skyjack showcased the SJ63 AJ articulating boom, which features an open-center knuckle riser design that provides Skyjack’s SkyRiser and EasyReach functionality.
From its vertical mast lift line, Skyjack displayed its Vertical Mast Product. Their lightweight design provides low ground pressure and floor loadings, a zero-degree inside turning radius and a traversing platform for added reach.
Three DC electric scissor lifts, SJIII 3219, SJIII 3226 and SJIII 4632, were also exhibited at the stand. The electric scissor lifts are quiet with zero emissions and able to work in the tightest of spaces, helping to make these the world’s top-selling aerial work platforms.
From the rough-terrain scissor lift line, Skyjack showcased SJ6832 RTE. The SJ6832 RTE electric roughterrain scissor lift is the only machine in its category with 45 percent gradeability and four-wheel drive as standard. The RTE provides end users with a zero-emission scissor lift that comes with the low running costs and high uptime customers expect from Skyjack’s “simply reliable” AWP design philosophy.
