Volvo ECR145E and ECR235E Tier 4 Final Excavators Deliver Up to 10% Fuel Economy Improvements
The new E-series short swing crawler excavators from Volvo Construction Equipment deliver better visibility when operating in confined spaces and greater fuel efficiency without compromising on power and performance.
The ECR145E and ECR235E from Volvo Construction Equipment are equipped with a powerful Volvo Tier 4 Final engine that delivers up to 10 percent fuel economy improvements.
To capitalize on efficiency and productivity, both machines offer integrated working modes, which allow the operator to choose the best work mode for the application – I (Idle), F (Fine), G (General) or H (Heavy). To further improve fuel efficiency, these machines are equipped with auto idle and engine shutdown features.
These excavators have been built to tackle a range of applications with a durable undercarriage to ensure impressive tractive force when climbing, as well as when travelling over both rough and soft terrain.

The ECR145E and ECR235E have been designed to provide the lowest total cost of ownership. An optimized hydraulics system is combined with the fully electronic control system to improve controllability and response time. This system works in harmony with the exclusive Volvo ECO mode, which optimizes the hydraulic system to reduce flow and pressure losses resulting in lower fuel consumption.

These excavators are compatible with a range of durable attachments to increase versatility. A password-protected attachment management system allows storage of up to 20 different attachment settings, allowing the operator to pre-set hydraulic flow and pressure inside the cab through the monitor.
The machines can be equipped with general purpose or heavy-duty buckets, each perfectly matched for digging and re-handling in all conditions. They provide maximum productivity, long life and feature original Volvo wear components.
Volvo also offers a full range of quick couplers, including its proprietary S-type and universal couplers that maximize breakout force and perfectly match Volvo attachments.
