Superior Industries, Inc., an American-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, has reached an agreement to purchase the assets of FLSmidth’s crusher manufacturing plant in Pekin, Illinois, USA.
According to Superior, the major asset associated with the transaction is a 10-year-old, 70,000 square foot plant that currently employs 30 well-trained production employees. Superior plans to utilize the new facility as a U.S.-based manufacturing centre for cone crushing equipment.
Earlier this spring, Superior purchased Clemro Western, Ltd. This Calgary-based Canadian division has manufactured its own line of cone and jaw crushers for more than three decades.
