Cummins Showcasing Range of Power, Technology and Support for Construction and Utility Customers at ICUEE
Cummins is presenting its comprehensive engine lineup, technology and customer support for construction and utility customers at the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) through Oct. 1 in Louisville.
In the booth at ICUEE, Cummins will display the 4-cylinder QSF2.8, QSF3.8 and QSB4.5 engines together with the 6-cylinder QSB6.7, spanning a 49- to 310-hp (37- to 231kW) power range for equipment meeting U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 4 Final emissions standards. Also on display will be a TQSF3.8 fully integrated Power Unit, meeting Tier 4 Final with an output range from 85 hp (63 kW) to 132 hp (99 kW). Cummins Tier 4 Final power continues to maximize productivity and reliability across a wide range of machines, rugged duty cycles and tough environments. These engines are totally integrated for optimized performance, from the air intake to the exhaust aftertreatment.
The QSF and QSB engines utilize filter-free, flow-through exhaust aftertreatment systems and a clean-combustion formula focused on fuel efficiency. For construction and utility customers, that means a lower cost of operation and higher uptime availability as they transition their fleets to Tier 4 Final equipment.
The 2.8-litre, 3.8-litre, 4.5-litre and 6.7-litre engines offer an ideal range of engine displacements and incremental performance to align with construction and utility equipment step-ups in capacity, size and operating weight across a broad product range. The ability to power-match is also realized with the potential for installation downsizing at two pivotal points – with a new, lower 74-hp (55kW) rating for the QSF3.8 and a higher 173-hp (129kW) rating for the QSB4.5.
At ICUEE Cummins will also highlight Connected Diagnostics – currently available in on-highway vehicles and soon to be available for off-highway equipment; the Cummins Tier 4 operator app; Cummins Power Generation; and Cummins Care.
