Multiquip introduced all new versions of its HTX-Series and STX-Series ride-on power trowels at World of Concrete.
The MQ Whiteman HTX6H-Series provides 8 feet of coverage and offers outstanding versatility with the ability to pan float and finish floors. The MQ Whiteman STX6H-Series with 10 feet of coverage will become a favorite of concrete finishers for pan floating high tolerance concrete floors.
These fully hydraulic machines are powered by a 66-hp, liquid cooled Hatz diesel engine that meets EPA Tier 4 Final emissions regulations. The powerful engine drives a hydraulic system that turns twin six-blade rotors at speeds of up to 160 rpm for the HTX6H and up to 130 rpm for the STX6H. The patented power management system senses engine load to adjust the hydraulic pump stroke to allow the engine to perform at peak efficiency. A new multifunction screen provides the operator with data on engine speed, fuel levels and engine alerts.
Both machines include a number of standard features to improve the operator experience. SmartPitch control synchronizes raising and lowering of blade pitch for both rotors at the touch of a button. The MQ Whiteman proportional steering system provides precision control and along with the cruise control feature help to eliminate operator fatigue. Six LED lights provide illumination for nighttime and indoor work.
Both machines are also available with optional MQ Link telematics system. This application uses cellular networks to provide real time information on machine location, operation, diagnostic codes and allows establishment of geo-fencing to protect assets.
