Berlon conveyor buckets clean under conveyors

Berlon has introduced a lineup of buckets that allow quarry and mining operators to safely and efficiently remove aggregate and other debris from under conveyor systems and in other tight quarters. These buckets are also useful on construction sites as they can get under hard to reach areas like bins, hoppers and pipe trenches.

Responding to a request from a local quarry, Berlon designed a conveyor bucket that could be used with a skid-steer or compact wheel loader.

“We went to Berlon to see if they would be able to make a bucket to replace the ones we were using,” said Oz Kinas, President of Link Aggregates Inc. “We didn’t have the time needed to reconstruct the one we were using and thought if Berlon did, it might be a win-win for both of us. Berlon took on the challenge and were able to help us out. The product they have produced for us has been outstanding and quite a time saver.”

Berlon’s goal was to design a durable bucket at a price point that would make it appealing for businesses to purchase it from Berlon instead of fabricating it in house. The result of the quarry owner’s request is a line of seven conveyor buckets. Features include a heavy-wall tubular frame, 1/4-inch-thick bucket body, 1/2- x 3-inch wear bars, 1/2- x 6-inch weld-on cutting edge with holes, optional 3/4- x 8-inch reversible cutting edge or rake tooth edge, and a universal mounting plate. Custom sizes and other mounts are also available.
