The engine manufacturer DEUTZ and Sany Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd are strengthening their partnership.
Starting in the second half of 2016, Sany will be equipping its new SW405 wheel loaders with DEUTZ's TCD 7.8 diesel engine. The engines meet the US EPA Tier 4 and EU Stage IV emissions standards. The standard exhaust aftertreatment system features a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR). Thanks to the DPF these “Stage V ready” engines even fulfil the next emissions standard, EU Stage V, which comes into force in 2019. The engines also meet the requirements for more strictly regulated markets such as Switzerland or municipal applications in Germany.
DEUTZ's water-cooled, six-cylinder in-line engine produces 160 to 290 kW at 2,300 revolutions per minute. It has a highly compact design and a modular system of optional add-on components that offer the customer greater flexibility and lower installation costs. The DVERT (DEUTZ Variable Emission Reduction Technology) system is also modular and meets the individual requirements of various markets with the standard DPF/SCR solution.
Chen Guizhi, head of wheel loader segment at Sany, commented: "We are delighted to be collaborating with DEUTZ on our Stage IV wheel loader for highly regulated markets. The engine specification and modular exhaust aftertreatment is beneficial for us, and we have found working with the DEUTZ global network to be a very positive experience."
Michael Wellenzohn, member of the Board of Management of DEUTZ AG with responsibility for Sales/Service & Marketing, added: "We are delighted to have secured Sany as a customer in the field of construction machinery. Together we are looking ahead to a successful partnership."
