At the Liebherr exhibition stand on Thursday, Liebherr-Werk Nenzing GmbH celebrated the 101-year anniversary of Bigge Crane & Rigging, one of its biggest crane customers, with the official handover of another LR 1300 crawler crane. The American crane hire company ordered its first crane, a crawler crane type LR 1160, in 2001. The ideas from the company had a strong impact on the design of the LR series in subsequent years.
The American company Bigge Crane & Rigging has now been a customer of Liebherr-Werk Nenzing GmbH for more than 15 years. During this period Bigge has purchased over 100 products from Liebherr, including more than 50 cranes, type LR 1300 – Bigge Crane & Rigging is therefore the biggest LR 1300 customer worldwide.
Representatives of Liebherr and Bigge Crane and Rigging celebrated the close business relations between the two companies with the handover of the new LR 1300.
"We trust Liebherr because the developers listened to us, took our requests seriously and the crane designs were modified accordingly to market requirements", comments Weston Settlemier, CEO of Bigge Crane & Rigging.
