Vermeer Canada moves into new facility in Montreal
New facility space is doubled from previous location and has modernized efficiencies
Vermeer Canada announced its Quebec location has moved into a new facility. The previous facility, which opened in 1988, was only 5,000 square feet (464.5 m2), and the new building is 10,000 square feet (929 m2) on 2 acres (.8 hectares) of land.
“We definitely outgrew our other building both in space and style,” said Craig Drury, vice president of operations for eastern Canada with Vermeer Canada. “Our new Montreal facility will help us meet the growing needs of our customers with a very well designed facility that helps elevate our visibility in the Quebec marketplace.”
Not only has space increased but the new building provides expanded technology capabilities for teleconferencing and improved communications overall. It features an expanded showroom for new product and is located within easy access to the highway.
Besides Montreal, Vermeer Canada has five other locations across Canada: Calgary, Alberta; Edmonton, Alberta; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and headquarters in Brampton, Ontario. According to Drury, the company is planning to build a new facility for its Edmonton location, as well as move the Calgary and Saskatoon locations into larger existing properties.
