Ervin Equipment, Inc. has added a complete selection of used trucks to its wide selection of used and new trailers. Ervin’s dual offering and one-stop-shop approach will enhance the customers’ ease of doing business.

Ervin has been supplying used and new trailers for multiple industries for more than 30 years. The new division will complement the services Ervin already offers existing customers to strengthen customer relationships and expand customers’ opportunities for selling and buying used fleets. To spearhead the new truck division, Ervin has hired industry veteran Nick Herbst as a senior sales manager.

“The used vehicle market has always been very active,” Herbst said. “With fuel prices, the price of new technology as well as federal mandates and EPA regulations, the price of new equipment is shooting up. As a result, the demand for used equipment continues to grow. It’s our intention to provide our customers with fast access to large fleets of trucks – along with the trailers. ”

Herbst has been in the truck industry for more than 30 years. He started his career at a GMC/Freightliner dealership, working in a variety of capacities and learning the multi- faceted trucking industry. In addition to his time spent with Freightliner, he also managed a Great Dane trailer dealership. Intrigued by Ervin’s new business venture, Herbst made another change and is eager to build the new truck division.

“Ervin has been in the trailer industry for years. They are one of the nation’s leaders in buying and selling trailers. And what goes better with a trailer than a truck?” he said. Herbst says he expects the truck division’s customer base will be similar to that of the trailer division.

Ervin’s approach to buying and selling trailers will carry over into the truck division, as well. Ervin will work with individual owner/operators who need just one truck or with fleet managers who need 100 or more trucks at one time. In addition, Ervin’s ability to buy and sell in large quantities boosts its purchasing power and enables the company to offer the best possible prices. This business model also offers fleet managers a huge selection when upgrading equipment. And, by staging basic models of trucks in multiple locations, Ervin offers customers convenient, efficient access to equipment within a matter of days, whether they’re in the United States, Canada or Mexico, Central or South America and beyond.
