Manitou unveils new loaders and MEWPs for North America at 2019 dealer meeting
The team at Manitou North America hosted more than 200 Manitou, Gehl and Mustang by Manitou dealers at their 2019 dealer meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
"Our Manitou North America Dealer Meeting provides a great opportunity to partner with our customers to gain a greater understanding of their needs and find opportunities to align with them to drive sustainable growth" said Mark Hanson, vice president of sales and marketing for the Manitou Group in North America. "It's critical that our actions are tightly focused on the needs of our customers and that we work together to provide the right products, services and solutions for the markets we serve."
New Manitou, Gehl, Mustang by Manitou and EDGE products for North America were shown to dealers for the first time at the Fiserv Forum, home of the Milwaukee Bucks NBA team. The arena set the stage for the new Manitou straight boom Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) that extend up to 85 feet, taking them to the top of the stands. Four new Manitou straight boom models, the TJ 65, TJ 65+, TJ 80 and TJ 85+, were introduced and are available now from dealerships across the United States and Canada. These smooth operators meet the new ANSI standards and offer platform capacities up to 900 pounds unrestricted on the "plus" models. Manitou also debuted equipment from its all-new compact equipment line. This new line includes a full range of skid loaders, track loaders and articulated loaders, including the new 1350 RT track loader and MLA-T 533 telescoping articulated loader.
Attendees got the first look at the all-new Gehl ALT950 telescopic articulated loader, which has an extended lift height of 17 feet. Gehl dealers that cater to the agriculture industry were especially interested in the high performance features of this machine, such as the unique CVT transmission, sharp turning radius and nearly 11,000-pound static tipping load, all of which increase productivity and optimize fuel consumption on the farm.
The latest Mustang by Manitou track loader models, including the 1050RT and 1350RT, were also on display for dealers. These two track loaders provide customers with full power and maneuverability in a compact frame, with the clearance height on the Mustang by Manitou 1050RT coming in at just 71.5 inches and width at 50.8 inches. The company says that IdealTrax is a big maintenance cost saver and is a top feature for the Mustang by Manitou track loaders.
