Watch: Priestly Demolition gives jobsite tour of two-building teardown in downtown Toronto
Before Priestly Demolition could begin their latest project, the two buildings set to be torn down had to first be stripped and rid of asbestos.
Surrounded by buildings, roadways and pedestrians on all sides, the Priestly team brought in cranes and debris screens to protect the surrounding structures before using a combination of high-reach equipment and excavators to make way for new high-rise condos in the downtown core of Toronto, Ontario.
All materials resulting from the 17-week project were sent to a nearby lake that is being filled in as part of the development of a new water treatment plant site.
