Hamm's HP series of pneumatic-tire rollers feature a large, newly designed water tank that gives these machines 650 litres of capacity for a full working day without stopping for refills.
The Hamm HP series rollers are available in a number of different models. The HP 180 and HP 180i models have a minimum working weight of 8 tonnes, and a maximum operating weight of 18 tonnes. The HP 280 and HP 280i are available with working weights between 10 and 28 tonnes. This allows buyers to select the model that best fits the demands in their region. The HP 180i and HP 280i are fully compliant with EPA Tier 4 and EU Stage V, while the other models are designed for Tier 3 regions.
Operators will find that the HP series has been designed for simple and intuitive operation, with an ergonomically optimized driver's platform. Combined with the shape of the asymmetrical frame, the machine offers excellent visibility.
A powerful hydrostatic rear-axle drive combined with sensitive control system allows for the right speed to be set in every working situation. Working speed can be adjusted using a rotary knob, and intelligent drive control provides smooth, even acceleration and braking for even compaction.
Options include thermal aprons and a diesel-powered tire heating system that, rather than using gas from cylinders, uses diesel from the fuel tank to reduce replacement time and eliminate naked flames. The tire heating system includes an automatic temperature control as well.
A redesigned additive-sprinkling system helps save time through reducing premixing, allowing dosage to be regulated in different levels from the driver's platform, and allowing drivers to switch sprinkling from water to additive at any time.
