VMAC is celebrating its 35th anniversary, having been founded in the fall of 1986 as a small machine shop. To celebrate 35 years of history, VMAC has released a new corporate video that honours the company's journey.
"We're proud of our history, from humble beginnings as a small machine shop building disposable jet engines to today, a respected North American manufacturer of innovative mobile rotary screw air compressor solutions," says Tod Gilbert, VMAC's President. "This new video tells VMAC's story, paying tribute to our founders Jim Hogan and Tony Menard, and highlights our people and the values VMAC continues to uphold today."
VMAC's culture empowers coworkers, including investing in people and manufacturing capabilities. This investment allows VMAC to design, engineer, manufacturer, and assemble the air compressors and multi-power systems in-house in their Nanaimo, BC, facility.
"The new video showcases the investment in our manufacturing facility, which gives VMAC a unique advantage over other air compressor manufacturers," explains Stu Coker, VMAC's Director of Operations. "We are the only manufacturer that offers fully engineered solutions with core components designed and manufactured in-house specifically for the mobile equipment market. These manufacturing capabilities allow VMAC to produce air compressor systems that are lighter and smaller, but also more powerful, reliable, and customizable."
