Emissions reduction continues to be a significant factor in the transportation sector, and alternative fuels will be a key part of cutting greenhouse gases moving forward. A group of companies including Lafarge are working with Hydra Energy to pilot a Freightliner Cascadia converted for use with hydrogen in on-road use. The goal is to evaluate hydrogen powered trucks for heavy vocational uses and, in time, add alternative power to fleets for reduced emissions.
