Ditch Witch's new e-commerce HDD platform helps streamline parts ordering
To help simplify tooling configuration and streamline parts purchasing for horizontal directional drill (HDD) operators, Ditch Witch has launched an e-commerce version of HDD Advisor. The online platform can help operators minimize downtime by quickly configuring a drill for a job and easily connecting with their local dealer inventory to access the parts they need.
Identifying the proper tooling for job sites has been a time-consuming and paper-intensive process. Using HDD Advisor, operators and dealers can quickly get the correct configurations and solutions by answering just a few questions about their drill, drill pipe, and job site. The platform automatically populates all the possible options for building out a drill string. For added peace of mind, HDD Advisor will only allow users to select tooling that will correctly configure with their drill.
"HDD crews can save crucial time and money with this easy-to-use platform," says Josh Kennedy, product marketing manager for HDD tooling and drill pipe at Ditch Witch. "HDD Advisor gives drill operators the confidence to quickly and correctly select downhole tool options – everything from the drill pipe to the back reamer – to match the drill unit they're using and soil conditions on the job. And, if parts break, HDD Advisor allows contractors to verify their local dealer has the needed parts to get them back up and running on the job."
HDD Advisor includes the option to save drill string configurations for future reference and to simplify the ordering of replacement parts. Operators can also share drill string configurations with their dealer and print or email summaries.
Parts manufactured by Ditch Witch and listed on HDD Advisor are compatible with both Ditch Witch drills and competitive units.
