CM Labs Simulations will debut new training solutions at The Utility Expo 2023. The new training simulators offer the opportunity for organizations, employers, and line worker schools in the utility market to address critical workforce safety, training, and recruitment issues.

These insights are possible due to the company's smart training technology. Comprised of proprietary and patented algorithms, the simulation training is based on real data and authentic machine behaviour that interact with their environment and materials just as they do in the real world.

"Our simulations ensure training teams have the flexibility to mobilize line workers efficiently. With hot-swappable controls, and quick jump starts between all simulated equipment, there is less time away from the worksite and no need to take equipment off contracts," explained Davis Siu, CM Labs' product manager. "The authentic replication of equipment and simulated risky situations means line operators can train for safety, in safety."

CM Labs will demonstrate the full suite of simulation training products and feature several new products for the utility market at booth 2227 in the East Hall. New introductions will include the following.

  • Simulation training for wheeled excavators – focus on situational awareness and reduce safety risks within a dense urban environment. The training pack includes a heavy-duty bucket and a narrow tiltrotator with live attachment change exercises.
  • A sneak peek of walkaround inspection featuring excavators – train for this vital step that directly impacts job site safety and productivity. The simulator includes training on identifying and spotting issues on equipment.
  • Support training programs with Instructor Operator Station that enables trainers to monitor, assess, and engage trainees via a tablet or a single workstation, personalized learning paths, updated metrics reporting, as well as new administrator functionalities.

CM Labs' earthmoving and lifting simulation training packs include digger derricks, boom trucks, telehandlers, compact track loaders, rough terrain cranes, backhoes, forklifts, and wheeled excavators.
