The latest version of Trimble's high-accuracy outdoor augmented reality system has been equipped with a 3D scan tool that allows for quick image captures and easier workflow updates.

The 3D scan app included in Trimble SiteVision 5.0 allows users to use LIDAR sensors, available on some Apple Pro devices, to capture high-accuracy and instantaneously georeferenced point clouds as easily as taking a photo.

The system combines the power of scanning and precision in a mobile unit, and allows users to create as-builts of the job site on the go, measure and plan resource allocation, reduce scan times, supplement drone data, and model preconstruction conditions with precision and ease. The tools also expand on SiteVision's functionality for creating practical and accessible field-to-office workflows for surveyors, contractors, and engineers.

The TDC6 Handheld Data Collector lets users work with complex data sets in the field. Trimble

Trimble has also introduced two new GNSS tools for improved construction site surveying. The TDC6 Handheld Data Collector is a low-cost, lightweight, handheld GNSS data collector that allows users to work with more complex data sets in the field, connect to the office for easier approvals, and communicate changes to field crews quickly. Small and rugged, it features integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, built-in cameras, and 5G compatibility. It works with Trimble Siteworks Software for construction surveying and can be used to visualize the job site with SiteVision.

The TDL450B Radio is a next-generation 450-megahertz external radio with Bluetooth for transmitting, receiving, and repeating GNSS corrections. It provides flexible configuration options and rugged reliability for efficient use of GNSS on the construction site. It is designed to support Trimble and third-party RTK base stations. The radio is an advanced, high-speed, wireless UGH data radio designed to endure daily use in harsh conditions. It has an add-on fan tray for additional impact and weather resistance. The interface is user-friendly and makes it easy to set up and configure. Access to diagnostic data in the field makes it easier to solve signal strength challenges and make adjustments when needed to avoid downtime.
