Hitachi expands line of super long front excavators with two even bigger models
The 25-ton and 35-ton class machines are engineered for dredging, barge and waterway operations, roadwork, agricultural and dairy projects, site cleanup, and more.
Joining the ZX210LC-7H Super Long Front (SLF) excavator released this summer, Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas has introduced two more super long front (SLF) excavator models: the ZX250LC-7 SLF and the ZX350LC-7 SLF. These new 25-ton and 35-ton class machines are also engineered to meet the needs of specialized construction sites and come equipped with a genuine Hitachi bucket while offering enhanced reach and depth capabilities.
A step up in size and capability
Both new machines are a step up in size from the ZX210LC-7H, which has 50 feet 4 inches (15.35 metres) of reach at ground level and a 39-foot 2-inch (11.94-metre) dig depth. The new ZX250LC-7 SLF provides ground level reach of 59 feet 8 inches (18.19 metres) and a digging depth of 47 feet 4 inches (14.43 metres), while the ZX350LC-7 SLF extends even further with a ground level reach of 71 feet 11 inches (21.92 metres) and a digging depth of 57 feet (17.38 metres). These capabilities make the new SLF models appropriate for a range of applications, including dredging, barge and waterway operations, roadwork, agricultural and dairy projects, and site cleanup.
Stability, safety, and controllability at the forefront
Both models feature an enlarged counterweight, providing operators with enhanced control of the super long arm for steady performance during operations. A dedicated swing motor enhances responsiveness, ensuring precise maneuverability in challenging environments.
Additionally, the versatile dig end dimensions are designed to be compatible with a variety of bucket and attachment types, enabling these machines to tackle diverse tasks. The new super long front excavators are engineered to efficiently cover and reach distant, confined work areas, providing adaptability on specialized job sites.
