Jacon Equipment designs manufactures and supplies concrete pumping, spraying, and transportation equipment for mining and construction industries. The company's product line includes eight models of shotcrete equipment, six models of concrete transport equipment, eight models of concrete pumping equipment, and eight models of utility equipment. The company has achieved strong sales across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, and South Africa, and will soon be entering the North American market.

The Australian-owned company has chosen Archer Mining & Civil Services of Sudbury, Ontario, as North American distributor and general sales agent. As the exclusive North American distributor for Jacon Equipment, Archer Mining will offer miners and tunnellers purpose-built, innovative equipment designed to streamline and optimize mining and tunnelling operations.

"We are pleased to have Archer Mining as our GSA," says Adam Doyle, president of global sales for Comet and Jacon Equipment. "Steve Archer and his team have very deep roots in the underground equipment world in North America; they are already making inroads for Jacon."

Full product range for mining and tunnelling

The Jacon Equipment range features solutions such as shotcrete equipment, concrete pumping and transport systems, utility vehicles, personnel carriers, waterjet machinery, and explosives charging equipment. Key flagship products include the MaxiJet MX3 MKII, a high-performance shotcrete sprayer with a triple-extension boom, 26 metre per hour spray capacity, and a nozzle offering 360-degree rotation and 180-degree tilt. Another notable machine is the Transmix 6000 Shotcrete Combo, a mixer and sprayer designed for single-operator use with autofill functionality and a dual-cabin setup for optimal efficiency.

"We are so pleased to offer Jacon Equipment from Australia," says Steve Archer, president of Archer Mining & Civil Services. "This line of equipment fills in the voids (pardon the pun) in what's available to miners in North America at the moment. For instance, Jacon has eight different shotcrete sprayers — there's a right size for every job. They make their own pumps. Vehicles have cabs both front and rear. I could go on. This equipment is of tremendous value."

Canadian distributor to offer training, parts, and service

Archer's Jacon offering goes beyond equipment. The company will offer the training, parts, and service that go hand-in-hand with this well-established line of equipment:

  • Comprehensive shotcrete training and certification: In-depth programs for wet and dry shotcrete processes; EFNARC-certified staff.
  • Dry and wet shotcrete admixtures as well as a full range of non-shrink grouts, backfill and void products for underground applications.
  • Technical support and expertise: Backed by Jacon's extensive knowledge of shotcrete mix designs and applications.
  • Full service and parts: Wear parts and other parts, all available within short timelines. Archer has a Jacon-equipped service centre and on-call Jacon-certified technicians.
