SmithCo updates its construction side dump trailer to haul more
The BRUTE CP30 side dump trailer is built to maximize payload for construction, agriculture, and snow removal
SmithCo Mfg., Inc., a company specializing in side dump trailer design and manufacturing, launched The BRUTE CP30 side dump trailer. This model has been re-engineered as an enhanced version of the original CP30 construction pup. The BRUTE CP30 is built to transport more dirt and debris from construction sites. Also, it offers faster load times and capabilities for more strategic dumping and requires minimal training to operate efficiently.
Hauling more with the BRUTE trailer
The BRUTE CP30 can be used for construction site preparation, agriculture, and snow removal and can be pulled with off-road construction power units or tractors. Unlike scrapers and haul trucks, it requires a brief introduction to operate correctly.
The trailer features a 30-ton capacity with flotation tires designed for rough terrain. A 2-inch drawbar pin-type hitch comes standard, but scraper-type adapters are also available as add-on accessories. Operators can run the trailer on a single 30-ton unit in tight conditions or hook them in tandem or triple combinations to move larger amounts of materials.
Off-road trailer with an enhanced design
SmithCo shares that the name is meant to reflect the trailer's ability to withstand tough working conditions. On previous designs, the company has aimed at a 15-year lifespan but has redesigned the tub hinges to increase longevity. As well, a new G-channel eliminates the need for counterweights on the trailer.
The tongue shock absorber and suspension enhancements provide less undulation after hitting a bump and a more comfortable ride in the tractor. It also includes a hydraulic front hitch to adjust the trailer to a level operating condition and adjusts for hooking to a lead trailer. Options for side extensions and poly-flop-out liners can increase capacity and make it easier to dump snow and other potentially sticky materials.
