John Deere improves performance and situational awareness with ADT upgrades
The 410 P-Tier and 460 P-Tier models now feature the JD14 engine and Advanced Vision System

John Deere is enhancing its portfolio of articulated dump trucks with the introduction of next-generation models with the 260 P-Tier, 310 P-Tier, 410 P-Tier, and 460 P-Tier. The 410 P-Tier and 460 P-Tier models are powered by the new JD14 engine and come equipped with the Advanced Vision System.
Features on the JD14 engine
John Deere shared that the JD14 engine was designed with serviceability and repairability in mind. The Hydraulic Lash Adjusters and integrated oil and coolant paths assist in achieving a 20 percent reduction in repair time by eliminating the need for valve lash maintenance and assisting an easy flow of service processes. With a new High-Pressure Common Rail fuel system, the JD14 engine has an enhanced fuel economy and efficiency over the previous model. Integrated harnesses are meant to increase the durability of the machine.
Advanced Vision System for improved field of view
Building upon the John Deere advanced object detection and vision solutions, the new ADTs are equipped with the Advanced Vision System. This system expands an operator's field of view and enhances operator job site awareness when in reverse. Digital cameras positioned on the front grill and right and left mirror bow help with visibility of the machine's sides, while the in-cab display monitors, positioned in the operator's line of sight, offer a real-time perspective.
The interface has been paired with three eight-inch displays, helping operators identify objects and view their surroundings. The system comes standard with a digital rear camera, with these features, operators can experience spatial awareness with wider views, auto planning views with articulation, and enhanced clarity of the job site.
"With the introduction of our next-generation articulated dump trucks, John Deere is once again raising the bar for both performance and situational awareness on the job site," said Matt Costello, product marketing manager at John Deere. "The JD14 engine and the innovative Advanced Vision System were developed with one goal in mind—enhancing operator productivity and confidence. These advancements not only improve the durability and efficiency of our machines but also set a new standard in visibility, supporting our contractors to work smarter, faster, and safer."
