Aluminum spreader body

The Viking Proline II Series of spreaders from Viking-Cives Ltd. use an aluminum box to provide strength and extra protection against the corrosion that can come along with a winter’s worth of spreading salt and other materials. Built with lightweight aluminum, the series of five dump boxes with inside overall lengths of 10 to 16 feet have installed weights of 4,250 to 5,300 pounds. The units have water level capacities from six to 12.3 cubic yards, with optional ten-inch boards boosting that even higher. A rounded design makes for easy flow of material to the 25-inch conveyor, which is driven by a 25:1 planetary gearbox to give lots of muscle for moving whatever’s being spread or dumped. The standard version of the spreaders has a front discharge, as well as a double acting air tailgate.
