Model LWB utilizes the centre hub of the wheel rim as one of the friction surfaces to eliminate the need for a bolt on friction rotor. This easy-to-install brake is constructed from high strength ductile iron and uses Carlisle asbestos-free friction material for reliable stopping and a long service life.
Secondary wiper seals protect the LWB brake piston seals and a deflector plate prevents foreign objects from becoming entangled in the piston.
The piston seals are designed to minimize fluid displacement and are available with a variety of seal materials.
All LWB brake components come with corrosion protection. The brake is easily adapted to alternative spindle-type brake applications such as reach type lift trucks, scissor lifts and aerial work platforms.
