The patent-pending swing-door compatible bed extension is designed to allow for the use of a lift gate while gaining the maximized cargo loading ability and carrying capacity that swing doors offer. Units incorporate an easy flip-away panel that allows access to the door hardware, and an easy-to-use centre panel stows away when doors are not in use. To open the doors, the panel swings away thanks to a spring-steel latch under the panel. With the doors open, the hinged panel then flips back into place and snaps into a secure position level with the truck floor.
