The Compucage Spyder locking system for laptop computers is a lightweight bar unit that attaches to a closed laptop, clamping it shut, or closes around both the base and the lid of the opened machine to make it impossible to close. In the open system, the Spyder is both non-intrusive to the display, but is also designed not to restrict airflow. A cable system allows the lock to then be attached to another object. The system is vinyl-coated, to protect the computer, and is small enough to fit into most laptop bags.
