Designed for use when building new foundations, or for repairs to old foundations, deep foundation, and underpinning projects, as well as for boardwalks, bridges, golf paths, and cycling paths, Techno Metal Post is engineered to allow contractors to install steel screw piles into the ground without any excavation. This product is approved with Canadian Construction Materials Centre, conforms with the National Building Code, and is designed as an alternative to conventional concrete foundation systems.
Techno Metal Post works using a steel “helical pile” drilled into the ground, which is basically an oversized screw. A specially-designed, compact hydraulic robot is used to install the piles into the ground, and extensions are welded on as depth is needed. Load ratings vary from 2,200 up to 66,000 pounds (approximately 1,000 kg to 30,000 kg per pile) with a minimum safety factor of 2. Piles take between 30 and 60 minutes to install, depending on the soil and the depth required. Techno Metal Posts can be installed in high water table areas, highly sensitive environments, or temporarily, and feature no cure time, same day installation and easy serviceability.
