A volunteer fire department which recently took delivery of two pumpers and one heavy rescue unit chose equipment from Rosenbauer. The pumpers feature the Rosenbauer general heavy-duty extruded aluminum body. Each is powered by a Spartan ELFD chassis and a Cummins 500 HP ISM engine. Features include a Hale QMAX 1500 GPM pump, 750 gallons of water, Onan 10 kW hydraulic generators, 4-inch full flow discharges on the side and rear, as well as front and rear intakes. The heavy rescue unit features the Rosenbauer General heavy-duty extruded aluminum body on a Spartan ELFD tandem axle chassis powered by a Cummins 500 HP ISM engine. It also includes an Amkus Ultimate system with two 100-foot reels in the front bumper and four 200-foot reels in the body compartments. Other features include an Onan 35 kW PTO generator, one 12,000-pound winch and one 9,000-pound electric portable winch, a Willburt light tower, and a six bottle cascade system with fill containment station.
