FAE introduces powerful 120-hp remote-controlled carrier for tough terrains

FAE has expanded its RCU range with the RCU120, a compact 120-hp remote-controlled tracked carrier designed  to work in hard-to-reach areas and on steep slopes where operator safety is a concern. Its dual hydraulic system and extendable tracks provide high productivity and efficiency in rugged terrains such as hills and forests and near sensitive areas including railroad tracks, power lines, pipelines, gardens, roads, highways, and bodies of water like rivers and lakes.

This new FAE tracked carrier features the powerful and fuel-efficient Kohler 120-hp common rail electronic fuel injection engine, meeting stringent emissions standards.

Its heavy-duty undercarriage incorporates a variable hydraulic design with independent rollers and an automatic tensioning system. Thanks to its high-profile rubber tracks with 3.3-inch spacing and 12.6-inch width, the RCU120 can handle even the most challenging conditions. The advanced design offers unbeatable traction, enabling it to work on inclines of up to 55 degree. A steel track option further enhances traction on difficult terrains.

The RCU120's dual hydrostatic transmission simplifies simultaneous control of traction and attachments. Its electronically controlled piston pumps work with a dedicated electronic control unit to form an integrated, high-performance technological system that ensures reliability, plus intuitive operation.

The RCU120 operates via a wireless remote control, featuring a large 4.3-inch display for easy management of all vehicle and attachment functions. Customizable function keys, a 2.4 GHz transmission frequency for reliable communication, and an ergonomic shoulder strap make the remote control unit comfortable and efficient to use.

The RCU120 is the first FAE compact remote-controlled tracked carrier to be outfitted with a Sonic technology-integrated forestry mulcher. This exclusive FAE technology allows for better management of equipment performance, increasing productivity up to 30 percent.

The RCU120 FAE carrier can be equipped with various FAE attachments, including forestry mulchers, stump cutters, stone crushers, and road millers. Thanks to its SAE connection, the RCU120 is also compatible with third-party equipment.

Additionally, the FAE RCU120 supports connectivity with the FAE app, enabling real-time access to diagnostic notifications, scheduled maintenance reminders, and primary operating parameters through a smartphone.
